Cruises Cruise LinesIntroducing Cruises and Cruise LinesCruises Cruise Lines is a site about, you guessed it, Cruises. Cruising is one of the biggest growth markets in the world and with an average of seven new multi million dollar ships built a year, it should continue to grow. To cover all the cruise lines would take forever, so I will limit the site to those owned by the Carnival Corporation, Royal Caribbean and a couple of other cruise lines that take my fancy. Whether you know anything about cruises or not, I hope you find the site informative, interesting and probably most important helpful.Cruise Lines are building bigger and bigger ships. A 220,000 ton 5,000 passenger ship is due in the fall of 2008, code named "Project Genesis". Currently the biggest ship in the world of cruises is the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Freedom of the Seas at 158,000 tons. A second Freedom class ship Liberty of the Seas entered service in 2007 with Indendence of the Seas due to follow in May 2008. Indendence of the Seas will be sailing out of Southampton for it's inaugaril season as Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines seek to further grow in Europe, where for the first time they had Navigator of the Seas cruising from the UK in 2007. Navigator of the Seas is a 138,000 ton, Voyager class ship with all the usual innovations that Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines offer their cruises, including mini Golf, Line Skating, Ice Skating and the introduction of the Promenade with inside rooms with windows! Further pages will follow adding to a knowledge base suitable to thoses that seek knowledge or as a guide to those that have the knowledge. Cruises Cruise Lines is an independent guide to cruising. |
